A Moose’s View

    A good friend of mine, suggested that I start a blog so here I go. I have a lot of interests and one of them are kids. I babysat for over forty years After getting married, working & assisting with taking care of my Mom I never found the time. I love cats from birth and my family always had one. My sister brought Angel my first cat of my own home in her pocket. I was about 5.  I’ve always had two kitties since 1989.

  I was an intermediate drummer until my shoulders and neck made it too painful to play. I used to play regularly t The Blue Note Grill on Open Blues Jam Night. I had really improved after drumming at the BNG for several years so I was bummed out when pain stopped me from playing!

I like all types of music except opera, heavy metal, gangster rap (I like old school hip hop like Will Smith) . I'm not knocking it for other people but I'm just not into those three. Just wanted to share a little of me and I hope visitors will share a little of themselves.

Why a moose?

So why do I relate to a moose to the point I call myself one? Well I'm a big chick with long legs, and besides, I think moose are just downright cool. It all started  two of my favorite childhood shows:  Mr Moose on Captain Kangaroo and Bullwinkle on the Bullwinkle and Rocky show. The Moody part is named for my love of the band The Moody Blues.

I have been babysitting for over thirty years (though since getting married I have not found the time) I love cats and have had one or more in my life since I was a baby. I'm a drummer and am in my 12th year of playing. I play for my own entertainment and although  I have improved over the years I don't see me being asked to join a band or anything. I started drumming because I love music and thought it would be fun which leads me to my other interest- I LOVE MUSIC!
